Snapshot of the Indian Premier League
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a 10-team Twenty20 (T20) Cricket league that runs between March & May every year. The competition ran with 8-teams from its 2008 inception until two new teams (the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants) were added for the 2022 season.
The IPL has been incredibly popular since its beginning with an average game attendance of 26,500. The Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings are the most successful teams with 5 league championship wins each.
