The KFC Big Bash League is an Australian x8 team Twenty20 Cricket league. The league only began in 2011, but already has the 9th highest average match attendance of all sports competitions globally. The Perth Scorchers are the most successful teams, having won the league 5 times.
The top 5 teams from the regular season make the 'final series' which is a single game knock out competition. The 4th and 5th placed teams have to play & win x3 games to reach the final, while the top two teams only need to win a single game to get there.
