There are 32 Teams in the NFL - the most in any domestic sports league worldwide. The teams are divided evenly between two conferences, the NFC and the AFC. Prior to 1967 the conferences were run as separate entities, with both leagues having indepedent champions. Since then the Super Bowl has been awarded to the overall champion. The Green Bay Packers (the only fan owned team in the NFL) are the most successful team with 13 wins, followed by the Chicago Bears who have nine wins.

The NFL has the highest average per-game attendance of any sports league worldwide. The best supported team are the Dallas Cowboys who have a game attendance of over 90,000, while the recently relocated Los Angeles Chargers have a measly attendance of around 25,000, which is well below the average attendance figure of 67,000.
